Day Trips to Take from your South Congress Apartments

  |     |   Uncategorized

When was the last time you escaped the city for a minute? We love having you here at our community of South Congress apartments, but we think everyone should take some time to get away from Austin every once in a while. After all, living in Central Texas means you don’t have to go far to feel like you’ve escaped.

In the blog post below, we’ll be talking about a few of our favorite day trip destinations. All of these destinations can be reached by driving an hour or two outside of Austin, and they’re all worth the gas money. We love day trips because they’re easy, affordable and don’t take much planning. In fact, you can wake up without a plan and end up having one of the best mini-vacations of your life.

Let’s get right to the list of day trips, shall we? When you finish reading through the list below, we’d love it if you’d take a few seconds to share it with your friends and neighbors at Muse at SoCo — the South Congress apartments Austin residents choose for luxury living.

Wimberley, TX

It’s easy to get to Wimberley, and it’s even easier to have fun while you’re there. This is the perfect town for anyone who loves finding old antiques, handcrafted art pieces and riverside restaurants. Of course, most people love all the above. You can get down to Wimberley in about an hour by driving on the highway, or you can make it a longer trip by winding through the backroads of the Hill Country.

Colorado Bend State Park

The next day trips on our list is popular with dog-owners. Colorado Bend State Park is one of those places that will change the way you think about the landscape here in Central Texas. The moment you see Gorman Falls, you’ll forget that you’re in Central Texas and start feeling like you’re in Central America. Bring your pup, hike the 40-minutes to the falls and enjoy one of the most beautiful natural formations in Texas.

Wine Country

We’re not going to tell you where to go in the wine country, we’re just going to tell you to get there ASAP. Rent an Airbnb in the hill country so you’re close to some of the wineries, and enjoy a long day of wine, cheese and hilltop views.
